Your ADU Should Adapt to Your Life — Not the Other Way Around

By Lori | CityPaks

One of my frustrations with the ADU market is the assumption that efficiency has to mean one size fits all.

Pick Model A, B or C. Put it in the backyard. Done.

But families don't work that way, and neither do Bay Area properties.

CityPaks starts with standardized, engineered architecture because standardization can create real efficiencies.

But within that system, we want homeowners to have meaningful choices about how their space works and feels.

Depending on the CityPaks and approved configuration, that can mean considering the relationship between bedrooms, living areas, kitchen and bathroom spaces rather than assuming every homeowner wants exactly the same interior arrangement.

Then there’s the exterior.

Siding, stucco, colors and finishes can dramatically change how an ADU relates to the existing home and property.

That's an important distinction to me.

Standardize the things that create efficiency. Personalize the things that make it your home. That's the philosophy behind CityPaks.
